概要 / Summary

amuca（アムカ）は、amu株式会社が取り扱う廃漁具から生まれた素材ブランドです。
私たちの活動は、全国の漁港を巡り廃漁具を買取・回収することからはじまります。回収した廃漁具を素材として生まれ変わらせる
ことに加え、その漁具がどの地域でどんな漁業に使われたのか、漁具が持つストーリーを紡いでいくことも私たちは大切にしています。
また、私たちはamucaを用いて地域の特性に合わせた企画や商品化なども行っています。漁業を営むまちで暮らす人々が、そのまちに誇りを持てるようになることにも、私たちは貢献したい。今は“やっかいもの”かもしれない漁具を、amucaとして“未来の資源”にする。漁具から、価値の常識をひっくり返していきます。

Our activities begin by traveling to fishing ports nationwide to purchase and collect discarded fishing gear. Beyond transforming this collected gear into new materials, we also value weaving together the stories these tools carry—where they were used and what kind of fishing they served in each region.
Furthermore, we use Amuca to develop projects and products tailored to each region's characteristics. We also aim to contribute to fostering pride in their hometowns among those living in fishing communities. We transform fishing gear—perhaps seen as a nuisance now—into “future resources” as Amuca. From fishing gear, we turn conventional notions of value upside down.

・漁業廃棄物（海ごみ）で覆われたビーチに住んでいるので、プラスチックや網を全てリサイクルする方法をよく夢見ているが、このチームはその夢を現実にした！
