アルテマイスター（株式会社保志）は1900年創業、福島県会津若松市で仏壇・仏具・位牌の製造販売を手掛けています。人々のライフスタイルや自宅での祈りの場がかつての日本と大きく様変わりしている状況を鑑み、2002年に東京・銀座に厨子屋を開廊。「厨子」という「大切なものを納める箱」を、現代の祈りのかたちとしてご提案しています。インテリアデザイナー内田繁氏と当社の仏壇職人との共創から生まれた「デザイン厨子」シリーズは『水平と垂直』で構成されたシンプルなフォルムで、普遍的なデザインとなっています。卓上タイプ、壁掛けタイプなど、現代の暮らしや生活空間に見合うサイズやデザインの、ロングセラー商品です。

Artemaster (Hoshi Co., Ltd.), founded in 1900, manufactures and sells Buddhist altars, ritual implements, and memorial tablets in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. Recognizing how people's lifestyles and home prayer spaces have changed significantly from traditional Japan, the company opened its Chushiya gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, in 2002. We propose the “chushi”—a “box for storing precious things”—as a contemporary form of prayer. The “Design Chushi” series, born from a collaboration between interior designer Shigeru Uchida and our Buddhist altar craftsmen, features a simple form composed of ‘horizontal and vertical’ lines, creating a universal design. Available in sizes and designs suited to modern living and spaces, such as tabletop and wall-mounted types, it is a long-selling product.
