我戸幹男商店は山中漆器の商人や職人が歴史の中で積み上げてきた精神や技を「不易」、その実践における不断の変貌を「流行」と解釈し、時代の風尚に従って変化する姿勢を守り続ける。

While preserving what remains unchanged and what must never change, the very essence of timelessness lies in constantly seeking novelty through innovation.

Motoo Shoten interprets the spirit and techniques accumulated by Yamanaka lacquerware merchants and artisans throughout history as the ‘unchanging,’ and the constant evolution in its practice as the ‘changing.’ We steadfastly maintain an attitude of adapting to the prevailing trends of each era.
