山梨県の和紙メーカー大直が2008年に立ち上げた日常使える和紙製品ブランド
日本古来から使われてきた和紙原料の楮を使ったコレクションを作りました。デザインは、工業デザイナーの柴田文江さん。
楮和紙に柿渋やベンガラなどを施し、特別な日に使いたいバッグに仕上げました。素朴な素材である楮和紙を自由なデザインの視点から捉え、丁寧な手仕事で仕上げたデザイン工芸品です。使う人の感覚、感性にやさしく触れ、日常に特別な喜びと楽しみをもたらすコレクションとしての成長を目指します。
SIWA | Kamiwa, a brand of everyday washi paper products launched in 2008 by Yamanashi Prefecture's washi manufacturer Ohnao. In 2025, as a new initiative,
they created a collection using kozo, a traditional Japanese paper-making material used since ancient times. The designs are by industrial designer Fumie Shibata.
Kudzu paper is treated with persimmon tannin and red iron oxide, resulting in bags perfect for special occasions. These are design crafts that interpret the simple material of kudzu paper through a free design perspective and are finished with meticulous handwork. The collection aims to gently touch the senses and sensibilities of its users, bringing special joy and delight to everyday life.
