鹿児島の風土と140年続く焼酎造りの技を生かしたKANOSUKEのフラッグシップウイスキー、シングルモルト嘉之助。3基のポットスチルで造り分けた多彩な原酒を、日本初の樽貯蔵焼酎「メローコヅル」に使用したリチャー樽をキーモルトにヴァッティング。甘やかでスパイシーな「和」のニュアンスと潮風由来のほのかな塩味が調和し、はちみつやレモンティー、かりん飴を思わせる芳醇な香味が広がります。世界最大級のスピリッツ品評会で3年連続ゴールド受賞、JAL国際線ファーストクラスでも提供されるなど、国内外で高い評価を得るメローなジャパニーズウイスキーです。

KANOSUKE's flagship whisky, Single Malt Kanosuke, harnesses Kagoshima's terroir and 140 years of shochu-making expertise. Diverse base spirits distilled in three pot stills are vatted with a key malt aged in refill casks previously used for Japan's first barrel-aged shochu, “Mellow Kozuru.” A harmonious blend of sweet, spicy Japanese nuances and a subtle saltiness from the sea breeze unfolds, revealing a rich aroma reminiscent of honey, lemon tea, and quince candy. This mellow Japanese whisky has earned high acclaim both domestically and internationally, winning Gold at the world's largest spirits competition for three consecutive years and being served on JAL international first class flights.

・日本のクラフトマンシップによるウィスキーは海外でもかなり人気のあるものだがシングルモルト嘉之助は鹿児島の焼酎づくりの技術を生かしていることが珍しく素晴らしいものであると思った。
・海外でも多くの人々が求める黄金の美しい色合いと味わいを楽しむことのできる素晴らしいウィスキー。
・僕は日本酒が大好きだが、日本酒に始まり、焼酎、ワインにはまっている。そして焼酎の技術を用いたウィスキーという製法を聞いただけでもクールだ。
・蔵のツアーがあると知った。ジャパニーズウィスキーのストーリーを深く知るために訪れる価値のある場所と思うのでぜひツアーに参加してみたい。
